biography
Sitara was born and raised in the city by a humble couple that managed to arrive barely before the doors closed and the net was raised. She had the average life of a child in an overpopulated city after a zombie outbreak. The money and food were scarce in her family, and when she finally was old enough to realize these facts, which was quite early, this kind of situations, mixed with the pressure, forced her to mature faster than the rest of the children, she offered her help, willing to search a job and earn some extra money for her family.
Yet, her parents forbid it immediately, and sent her to school instead, they still had the hope that, one day, the scientist would find a cure for the terrible zombie outbreak or, at least, managed to eradicate both the zombies and the cause, and consequently they wanted to give a good life to her child when she grew up. Reluctantly, she did as she was told, but it didn’t stop her from keep trying to help her parents. After some time, she found out how, it wasn’t the most honest way to do it, but she didn’t had much of an option.
Acting as the Robin Hood for her family, she started to steal food and money from other people, leaving it in her house, in places where her parents wouldn’t suspect that it was robbed. She didn’t felt exactly good for doing it, but she couldn’t let her family starve to death! With years her skills got sharper and sharper, to the point where she could go around completely unnoticed, stealing from anyone’s pockets without being caught.
Or well, she was actually caught once. She was offered two choices for her actions, to spend three years in prison (They understood that she didn’t steal for greed, but for need to feed her family who had been struggling for the past few years) or to become a recruit for the scavengers, since she just had hit the required minimum age for it, her skills didn’t go unnoticed, and everyone thought that they could be extremely useful. The choice was obvious, and she became a recruit, plus she thought that she could help a lot of people this way, by bringing more resources to the citizens, instead of only helping her own family (Even if she still favored them greatly).
She trained, sharpening her already bright skills, and quickly became a top class recruit, though she would never talk about it in public unless asked directly, her humble origins still present in her behavior. Currently she’s still under training, even if she already went to a city to retrieve resources from it once under the noses of the zombies, the mission was a complete success, at least for her, she knew that a couple of scavengers died trying to flee from that place. Also she isn’t a fool, she fears the zombies, but she’s willing to fight them if needed.
